Why Doesn't Anyone Appreciate Us?

Words cannot describe how unappreciated high school marching bands are. Any member of a marching bands wake up every single morning at 5:45 and start practicing at 6:30 until the start of school and no one ever congratulates them on our successes. What people don't realize is without the band there would be no fight song or alma mater at any high school event. Imagine how boring football games would be without a band! Halftime is our performance time and it would be nice if people would actually watch us instead of using the restroom. We work countless hours on our marching show and it would be nice is other people other than our parents would watch and appreciate our show. It is very apparent that anyone who isn't in marching band thinks that marching is really easy. People aren't aware that memorizing your music, knowing where to go, and marching with correct fundamentals is A LOT harder than it looks! All I am saying is that it would be very nice if people would appreciate us for all that we do.
